For businesses
Reach the boaters who stop at your door
Jetty Hop is the free guide to Ireland’s navigable lakes, rivers and canals, in English, German, French and Dutch. Every pub, café, shop, marina and hire base by the water gets a basic listing for free, and keeps it.
Nothing is sold online: no card details, no automatic renewal.
Who uses the guide
People on boats, and people planning their trip at home, in their own language.
-
Hire-boat crews
Families and friends on a week’s holiday, many from Germany, France and Switzerland, looking for a pub with a jetty, a shop and somewhere to eat tonight.
-
Local boat owners
Skippers from both sides of the border who know the water and want the facts up to date: opening hours, fuel, water and pump-out.
-
Day-trippers and planners
Anglers, paddlers, walkers and visitors choosing where to go, on the water and from home.

Our marketplace
Boat dealer or broker?
Your stock on buz.ie is shown to Jetty Hop readers: the newest boats for sale appear on our boats-for-sale page, on the home page and on the waterway pages, where boaters plan their season.
- Posting an ad on buz.ie is free
- A dealer account on buz.ie adds bulk import of your stock (CSV) and a dealer page with your name
- On a waterway page, boats in the counties along it come first
- Hire companies and marinas: list the boats you sell, ex-fleet cruisers included
buz.ie is our own marketplace, run by the same team as Jetty Hop. It is not paid placement, and it never changes your listing in this guide. Whether a seller has a free or a paid buz.ie account, or promotes an ad, makes no difference to whether or where a listing appears on Jetty Hop.

What is never for sale
A featured listing buys visibility, labelled as such. It never buys any of this:
-
Safety information
Weather warnings, marine notices, water levels and lake forecasts are the same for everyone.
-
Mooring facts
Who may berth, visitor berths, prices and services are never changed or hidden for money.
-
Lock and bridge times
Opening hours and notices come from the navigation authorities, not from advertisers.
-
Navigation
The marks and routes on the map, and the planner’s choice of overnight stops.
-
A place above safety
No paid listing ever appears above safety, mooring or navigation information.
-
Reviews and badges
No paid reviews, ratings or “recommended” badges. “Checked on site” is earned, not sold.
-
Offline maps
Free for every waterway, for everyone.
-
Your customers’ privacy
No ad networks and no tracking cookies on the site.
Claim or update your listing
Tell us about your business. We check every claim before anything changes in the guide.

You send the form
It costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
-

We call the business, or reply to an email from its own address.
-
We update the guide
If you asked about a featured listing, we send you the terms first.
Thank you, we have your message.
We will check that you run the business, then reply by email. Nothing in the guide changes until then.
Questions
Is the basic listing really free?
Yes. Every business by the water that we list keeps its full basic listing, with the same facts and the same checks, whether it pays or not. There is no trial period.
Do I have to pay to appear on the map or in search?
No. The map and search show every listing we have. Search ranks results by how well they match, never by payment.
What does paying change?
A featured listing gets a larger card with your offer, can come first among businesses of its kind at your stop, and is always labelled “Ad · Sponsored”. It never appears above safety, mooring or navigation information.
Can I pay to change my mooring information?
No. Who may berth, visitor berths, prices and services are facts. We record them the same way for everyone, and they are never for sale.
How do I pay?
Not online. Tell us you are interested with the form; we reply with the terms, and you decide. Nothing renews automatically.
Are the prices final?
They are introductory prices per season (March to October) and per location, excluding VAT. You will know the price before you agree to anything.
How do you check that I run the business?
We call the number we have for the business, or reply to an email from the business’s own address. Until then nothing changes in the guide.
Who writes the listing?
We do, in our own words and in four languages, from what you tell us and what we check. You can send corrections at any time.
Will I see how many people looked at my listing?
Not yet. We plan simple counts without cookies or tracking, and they will start only once our privacy notice says so.
