About Muckross jetty

Muckross is the open-lough alternative to the river moorings at Kesh: a public jetty on the shore close to the village, with toilets and a slipway listed by Waterways Ireland. Manor House Marine points out a sandy beach that is popular with families, and warns that water-skiers can crowd the jetty, especially at weekends. Keep your speed right down near the slipway and swimmers. From here it is a short run west to Lusty Beg and the Boa Island shore, or back up the Kesh River to the village shops; there are no shops at the jetty itself, and no water or power is listed.
