About Lusty Beg Island

Lusty Beg is a privately owned island next to Boa Island, run as a resort with lodges, chalets and courtyard rooms, a lakeside restaurant and bar, an award-winning spa and activities from archery and clay shooting to speedboat runs and kayak hire. Boats and cruisers are welcome at its jetties, but this is a private island: overnight space goes first to people eating or staying there, and staff may ask boats to move to make room. To dock and dine, ring reservations on +44 28 6863 3300. The resort’s free ferry runs on demand to the Boa Island shore, so from here you can visit Caldragh graveyard and its carved figures. Manor House Marine suggests Lusty Beg as a full-day lunch trip from Killadeas when the wind is light. The name comes from the Irish Lóiste Beag, the “little lodge”.
