About Sandy Bay Marina

Sandy Bay is a privately run marina on the east shore of the lough, about three miles off the A26 Airport Road along the Lough Road and directly opposite Ram's Island. A 2017 berth guide gave it about 60 berths, with water, power, toilets and showers, but no chandlery or café. It is the departure point for the volunteer boat to Ram's Island, which sails on Wednesdays and Saturdays in summer and must be booked in advance. Like the rest of the lough, this shore can turn very rough quickly in a strong wind, so check the forecast before heading out. We have no current information on visitor berths or prices: contact the marina before you arrive.
