Public jetties on the Erne: stay up to 48 hours, then move on for at least 4 hours before coming back. For longer, ask the Lough Erne Warden or take a private berth; the Erne has no winter mooring. Erne boater information from Waterways Ireland

About The Round O

The Round O jetty lies in Brook Park, a short walk from Enniskillen’s centre and the bus station, on the reach of the Erne that runs down to Portora and the Lower Lough. Of the town’s moorings it has the most services: Waterways Ireland lists toilets, a pump-out, a slipway and shore power. It is also home to Erne Tours, running since 1976, whose 48-seat MV Kestrel takes visitors through Portora Lock to the monastic island of Devenish, with a bar on board; the Kingfisher runs luxury public and private cruises, and self-drive day boats can be hired here too. Morelli’s ice cream and coffee is beside the jetty. The Enniskillen Royal Boat Club rows from Portora nearby, so expect rowing crews on this stretch and keep your wash down.
