About Lough Ree Marina, Mucknagh

Lough Ree Marina is a quiet, sheltered harbour at Mucknagh Point on the lake's east shore, close to Glasson. It is built of stone and old railway sleepers, edged with a boardwalk, and its berths are on floating jetties. This is the base of Lough Ree Cruisers, a small family firm whose six-berth Classique 1135 cruisers have a sliding saloon roof for open-air cruising. Staff give every crew a handling lesson and a test drive, and beginners can have an instructor aboard for the first hour. Boat owners keep their craft here too. The marina lists a slipway, metered electricity, diesel, water, a toilet and shower, engine repairs and winter hardstanding. It does not advertise visitor berths, so phone first.
