About Share Discovery Village

Share Discovery Village was founded in 1981 to give disabled and non-disabled people the same chance to enjoy the outdoors, and it has grown into the largest residential activity centre in Ireland, with more than 10,000 visitors a year. Its private 60-acre estate lies on the shore of the Upper Lough just outside Lisnaskea. Day visitors can book kayaking, canoeing, sailing, paddleboarding and windsurfing with the centre’s instructors, and there is a swimming pool and a fitness suite; in July and August a holiday programme of activities is open to visitors. You can stay in self-catering chalets, glamping pods, on the campsite or with a touring caravan from Easter to September. The centre is right on the water, but it publishes no berths for passing boats, so call first (+44 28 6772 2122). In Lisnaskea, a short trip by road, Castle Balfour is a planter’s castle of about 1618.
