About Cloondavaun Marina

Cloondavaun Marina lies in Cloondavaun Bay, at Cloonmoylan on the Galway shore, a short run south-west of Portumna. It is a private marina run by its owners rather than a public harbour: the jetties hold up to 70 boats, each berth has its own 220 V supply and fresh water, and the security gate opens with fobs issued to berth holders. Other visitors are asked to ring the number shown at the gate, so phone ahead (+353 86 259 0884) if you hope to stay. Ashore there is a clubhouse with a kitchen, toilets, showers and a washing machine, a slipway, a boat lift, hard standing with power, indoor winter storage and a working boatyard with a mechanic; boating courses are planned. The IWAI's Lough Derg branch held its 2026 skills day here. There is no village nearby, so arrive with supplies.
