No published time limit at the piers
Lough Corrib is not a Waterways Ireland navigation: there is no published time limit at the piers. Anglers and the cruise boats use them too, so keep landing steps and departure berths clear. The navigation, from IWAI Corrib

About Lisloughrey Pier
Lisloughrey Pier is an old stone pier with lakeside warehouses on the shore near Cong. In works tendered by Galway City Council in 2022 and carried out in early 2023, it gained a new concrete slipway, a walkway and gangway, and a floating pontoon held on steel piles. Fáilte Ireland lists Lisloughrey among the upper lake's public quays and slipways. Corrib Cruises sail from here every morning on a one-hour history cruise, and from June to September on a two-hour afternoon cruise that lands for a guided tour of Inchagoill, about 6 km away. Cong village, with its abbey, pubs and hotels, is about 1.3 km away. The OPW's gauge for the upper lake, listed as Cong Pier, stands here.

Brown trout and salmon angling
Lough Corrib is wild brown trout and salmon water: the salmon season opens on 1 February, trout on 15 February, and both close on 30 September. Fáilte Ireland suggests a local guide for a first visit, because of the lake's size and its underwater hazards.
