About Seatons Marina

Seatons is a private, family-run marina on the east bank of the Bann, about two miles downstream of Coleraine and three miles from the open sea at the Barmouth. It holds around 50 boats, from 18 ft to about 40 ft, mostly on pontoon berths with water and power, plus fore-and-aft moorings and winter storage ashore; there is a shower and toilet and a place to make tea and coffee. Berths are usually full and there is a waiting list, but visiting boats are welcome when a suitable space is free, provided they book in advance; the office is usually staffed on Saturdays. The slipway is tidal, so check the state of the tide before launching. Heading out to sea, remember that waves can break on the Barmouth bar in rough weather: breakers on the Portstewart pier mean do not try to cross.
